ABOUT INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
The main objective and functioning of the Institutions National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of A.R. Engineering College was established in 2022 with a view to planning, monitoring and evaluating the quality measures in teaching-learning process, research and extension activities. The quality up gradation measures are initiated in order to promote the assessment and accreditation process. It also ensures quality-based value education to the students. The IQAC, since its inception, has been constantly and continuously involved in quality enhancement activities of the AREC.
In order to plan, monitor, and evaluate the quality measures in the teaching-learning process, research, and extension activities, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of A.R. Engineering College (AREC) was established in 2022. It is based on the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The assessment and accreditation process is promoted by the quality improvement initiatives. Furthermore, it makes sure that students receive excellent, value-based education. Since the beginning of its existence, the IQAC has been actively participating in AREC quality improvement initiatives.

The IQAC'S Main Goal is
- To establish an infrastructure for deliberate, persistent, and effective action to enhance the institution's performance in both academics and management.
- To encourage actions that will help institutions run better by internalizing a quality culture and institutionalizing best practices.

IQAC ACTIVITIES
Some of the activities of the IQAC are as follows:
The establishment and implementation of quality benchmarks/parameters for the institution's various academic and administrative activities that support the development of a learner-centric environment that is supportive of high-quality instruction and faculty development to adopt the necessary knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning Organize for student, parent, and other stakeholders' feedback on institutional procedures that affect quality.
Dissemination of data on numerous higher education quality metrics Inter- and intra-institutional workshops, lectures on quality-related topics, and the promotion of quality circles are organized and documented.

The institution reviews its teaching learning process, structures & methodologies of operations and learning outcomes at periodic intervals through IQAC set up as per norms.
The institution reviews its teaching learning process, structures &methodologies of operations through Academic Departments. The IQAC is responsible for developing coordinating and monitoring academic assessment activities to effect improvement in student learning outcomes through:
- Program assessment for the graduation batch. The learning outcomes of program (POs) are assessed through curricular and co-curricular activities.
- Regular monitoring of individual student’s attendance is submitted to the principal every day.
- Separate students counselling is available which advices each student individually.
- Detailed course handout is prepared in unit wise order, as per the prescribed syllabus.
- Lab manuals are prepared by the faculty and made available to the student in printed format.
- Special training programs were organized for the students to improve their communication skills, soft skills, leadership qualities etc.,
- The performance of the students in the periodical tests and remedial measures for the slow learners was discussed and Participation of National and International technical events.
